Small Business Minute - Putting The "You" In Unique

Isn't it a bit tireing hearing the same old cliche advise: "You have to standout in order to be noticed". In the business world however,lets face it....there really isn't to many TRUELY unique ideas. Sure there are some great concepts that improve on existing ones and some that combine the best features or aspects of many medicore ones, but true uniqueness is few and far between.

So how do you acheive it? Can I truely make my product or service offering unique?
Try these 3 steps
a) Ask yourself "What would I personally respond to?"
b)Ask yourself "What would motivate me to make an immediate purchase decision?"
c) Ask yourself "Whats missing?"

Did you notice a theme? Thats right...all of those questions had to do with YOU. The reaosn why is because each consumer has diffrent buying triggers, emotional needs and spending patterns so its impossible to appeal to all of them. But you better beleive that there are consumers that you can attract that have YOUR buying triggers,emotional needs and spending patterns.

Build on that and see how quickly your marketing,product development and attitude towards your business or business idea instantly shifts.
